Una pareja, la hembra incubando. El macho defendiendo territorio, al mismo tiempo, durante 20 minutos, contra un macho competidor de su especie, y contra un chacal de lomo negro, que merodeaba buscando nidos que depredar. Fue todo un despliegue de coraje acosando a los dos invasores alternativamente.
