Tenth issue and final year of the Journal, with 122 articles on bird novelties published, more than 230,000 visits to our articles, and dozens of authors who trusted our work for the publication of their findings. Closing this cycle, we leave new contributions for dissemination and decided to discontinue the Journal in order to dedicate ourselves exclusively to the website, the community, and its main potential: the care, curation, evolution, and maintenance of the database. We believe that during these 10 years we have made a significant contribution by providing a space for the publication of ornithological novelties, and we are very happy with the achievements reached. ¡Thank you all very much for your constant support!

A new year has passed in the relentless work of documenting the geographic novelties of species. With the growing number of birdwatchers, naturalists, and a large number of new citizen science systems that are beginning to accompany us, there is increasingly more information scattered and distributed across computer networks, making it increasingly necessary to highlight what is most important and document it formally and in a lasting way. This is where the role of the Journal grows day by day, justifying its existence and contributing to collective knowledge. Some years we can take on more papers, while in others we decide to take fewer in order to guarantee the continuity of the project and the legitimacy of the information. This year we have selected the best findings and the most solid works in terms of structure, and we close this Issue 9 with 8 published articles. That is why we celebrate another year-end and closing of the Journal, and as always we are already working on several articles for the next issue. ¡Let’s keep working!

The Journal now has more than 192,000 visits, which positions it as a publication of great ornithological value at the national level.

We continue documenting first records of species for different provinces, first evidence of this type of finding, expansions in known geographic distributions, new feeding data, and reproductive behaviors of Argentine birds that were previously unknown. We add 11 articles as a new contribution to the knowledge of our species, surpassing 100 articles published in the history of our Journal. This reminds us of the words of Juan Carlos Chebez, who mentioned that many communication initiatives of this type have not survived "the crisis of two", or according to others more optimistic, "the first ten issues". Therefore, we are happy to have published so many bird novelties, as those represented by a three-digit issue number. We close Issue 8, and we will soon begin the ninth year with several novelties already under review!

We have received a total of 158,890 visits to our articles, with 33,187 of them this year, which is a very significant number that demonstrates the reach of our publications.

We had a great year regarding the reception of articles and bird novelties. We had more published works than in each of the previous four issues of the Journal. A new species for Argentina has been documented, a novelty in Venezuela, several records that constitute the first records of species for Argentine provinces, and also records of rare or scarce species where there had been no mentions for many years. We close this Issue No. 7 of the Journal at the end of 2017 and are already planning the work for the next one, based on many works we have received and will continue to receive in the coming year. On the readers’ side, we received a total of 125,703 visits to our articles, with 33,363 of them this year, representing almost a 30% increase compared to last year.

In 2016 the Journal has been much more recognized than in previous years. More and more authors are submitting their works and trusting EcoRegistros Journal. We are working more closely with authors who are newly entering this type of publication and we continue supporting those with more experience so that they keep finding in this project a place for the dissemination of fieldwork. We have extended review timelines to continue improving final results; this means fewer notes published this year but many more for the following year. We are very happy with the acceptance the Journal is receiving!

We received a total of 92,340 visits to our articles, with more than 26,000 of them this year, which comfortably surpasses last year's visits. More than 2,900 users are subscribed to our monthly newsletter where the Journal’s updates are sent. Let’s keep this pace!

The geographic distributions of species are constantly changing; some expand while many others retreat. What once was considered novel may no longer be so today, and at the same time new shifts arise, some predictable and others completely unexpected. Where populations of some species previously did not exist or were not frequent, they are now established. For this reason, we seek new findings accompanying the changes that nature dynamically produces in response to various conditions, and we also follow those already documented in order to recognize their current situations. In this Issue No. 5 of EcoRegistros Journal we document geographic novelties such as rediscoveries of species where they had not been observed for a considerably long time, expansions of known geographic distributions, and new accidental records of species outside their distribution range.

We have already recorded more than 65,600 visits to our articles, and more than 2,200 users are subscribed to the newsletter where updates from the Journal are sent. ¡We will continue working on the formalization of findings and their dissemination within the community!

In this fourth year of the Journal we have worked focused on geographic novelties of species, being more rigorous in the reception of articles. Our articles have surpassed 49,000 visits, an increase this year of almost half of the total visits from the previous three years. More than 1,600 users are already subscribed to the newsletter where, among other things, new articles from the Journal are announced. For all these reasons we are very proud and grateful to all of you. We close Issue No. 4 of the Journal at the end of 2014 and continue with Issue No. 5, more novelties coming soon!

Another year has passed and EcoRegistros Journal, in its third year of existence, continues growing thanks to all of you. Numerous works documenting geographic novelties in the distribution of bird species have been published at the national level and for the first time one at the international level. Its dissemination has reached unexpected thresholds in such a short time, with more than 34,500 visits to our articles, which fills us with pride and gives us great encouragement. We have consolidated the article review process, achieving an average publication time of around four months for the notes in this issue, which resulted in great satisfaction among the authors. Issue No. 3 of the Journal closes at the end of 2013 and we are already working on Issue No. 4, which is coming with great momentum. Let’s keep working!

One year after the launch of EcoRegistros, many objectives were achieved and many others emerged as new goals. The Journal is one of those achieved objectives. It began from the early days of the website and quickly evolved into a scientific format aimed at dissemination. A team of reviewers was formed, whose added value to each work allowed rapid growth. Many people who obtained novel records of great interest trusted EcoRegistros Journal and turned their fieldwork into digital pages forming articles. These articles, distributed online and downloadable in PDF format, were presented as novelties in the monthly newsletters and have been accessed thousands of times. And we, editor and reviewers, the EcoRegistros Journal team, are very happy that this "first round" has concluded in this way. Let’s keep moving forward!
