El día 25 de Noviembre de 2015 se pudo observar 10 especies de Flamenco Austral en la zona Sur-Este de la Laguna Alalay en la ciudad de Cochababamba, Bolivia. Se registró la presencia de esta ave después de 4 años, ya que los años anteriores no se observó ningún individuo.
