General Information

Ecuador is a country located in the northwest region of South America, bordered by Colombia to the north, Peru to the east and south, and the Pacific Ocean to the west. The country´s geography is characterized by its diversity, with a large number of rivers, lakes, volcanoes, and mountains that create a very rugged terrain. The capital, Quito, is located in the Andean region, at an altitude of approximately 2,850 meters above sea level.

The geographical location of Ecuador makes it an ideal place for nature observations, as it has a wide range of ecosystems and climates. The coastal region is warm and humid, with lush vegetation and a large number of beaches and mangroves. The Andean region is cooler and drier, with less vegetation and a large number of mountains and valleys. The Amazon region is warm and humid, with dense vegetation and a large number of rivers and lakes. To access these places, you can take international flights to Quito or Guayaquil airports, and then take land or air transportation to the different regions of the country.

The tourist infrastructure in Ecuador is well developed, with a large number of hotels, restaurants, and travel agencies that offer guide and transportation services.
