Macho adulto,con muda ya avanzada y tras perder parte de su color rojo.-El dorso lo tiene gris uniformeen tanto los juveniles machos,en esta época,no tienen nada d ecolor rojo,y su dorso es gris claro y con apariencia escamada,por tener los bordes de las cobertes nuevos,sin desgaste,anchos y blancos.-
