Juvenil, registrado por Gustavo Duran , quien dio aviso . Patas verdosas, pico bicolor, con la punta negra y el resto gris, punta de las alas oscura , al llegar una Garcita Blanca al humedal , E. caerulea enseguida comenzó a perseguirla y hostigarla, vocalizando y corriéndola, motivo a retirarse de la laguna de los yacarés de la reserva . En este comportamiento se pueden apreciar que la garza azul juvenil, tiene pico mas grande y largo y es de mayor tamaño que la garcita blanca.
