Primer registro de esta especie en muchos años de observaciones. El hábitat coincide con las necesidades del ave ya que fue registrado en un arbustal casi intacto de Curro ( Colletia paradoxa ) en la zona serrana colindante entre los partidos de Tandil y Lobería con poca disturbación debido al difícil acceso.
