El mal estado de la fotografía se debe a que ese rollo de diapositivas, por un mal procesado o por un insuficiente lavado final, se deterioró muy rápidamente. La diapositiva fue escaneada muchos años después, con la emulsión ya casi destruida. Era la primera vez que veía la especie. Luego la vi fugazmente tres veces más, pero sin poder obtener imágenes.
