Especie perteneciente a la familia Tortricidae.
Los tortrícidos son una familia de lepidópteros glosados del clado Ditrysia, la única familia de la superfamilia Tortricoidea. Es una gran familia con 6338 especies descritas. Muchas de ellas son importantes plagas agrícolas.
