El pterostigma es una mancha en el ala de los Odonata, próxima al ápice. El pterostigma tiene dos bordes: costal (coincidente con el borde del ala) y subcostal (el otro borde). En P. mooma, el borde subcostal es oscuro, mientras que el borde costal es del mismo color del pterostigma y alas.
