Nido encontrado en un pajonal-juncal semi inundado lejos de alguna laguna. El ave fue vista saliendo del nido, el cual se encontraba muy oculto. Contenia 6 huevos de base crema con pequeñas pintitas castañas, rojizas y violaceas, mas concentradas en el polo mayor
