Determinada con "Syrphid Flies Related to Volucella Scutellata Macquart" de C.L. Fluke, 1951 (aparece como Volucella spinigera) y "Observaciones biológicas sobre Temnocera spinigera Wied [Diptera syrphidae]" de Bruch, 1919 (tengo más fotos en las que se ven todos los detalles necesarios, están subidas a Inaturalist).
