Durante una salida de campo el 13 de Junio de 2015 en el establecimiento ganadero Valencia (UTM -27.374408, -57.701569), fue avistado un individuo de Buetogallus coronatus. El lugar del avistamiento corresponde a una franja de bosque ripario a lo largo del Río Paraná, a 4,67 km del pueblo de Yahapé, Departamento de Berón de Astrada.
