Juvenil de Tuyuyú bastante pichón y confiado aún en una zona dónde realizan quemas intencionales y caza intensiva, pese a la rareza del hábitat. Probablemente procede de alguna nidificación en el valle del río Mocoretá, próxima al sitio en que fue fotografiado.
