Coloración ocráceo rosada, dosrsalmente pardo ocráceo. En los hombros una mancha blanca prominente notable en vuelo. Periocular anaranjado. Primarias y parte ventral del ala negras.
Habita estepas y quebradas hasta los 3000 m. s.n.m.
