En el Lago del Planetario, alimentándose de un ejemplar de Vieja del Agua (Hypostomus commersoni) en descomposición (había varios ejemplares de este pez, cuyas muertes deben estar seguramente relacionadas con algún tipo de contaminación, ya que la especie resiste diversas temperaturas).
