Pocas horas antes del avistaje hubo una tormenta eléctrica en la zona con fuertes lluvias. El ave volaba en círculos sobre la zona urbana. Descubierta aprox. a las 18:45 hs por María José Solis, la pudimos observar durante unos 20 minutos. Luego voló en dirección a la costa. Observando con prismáticos pudimos determinar con certeza que se trataba de un juvenil. También fue fotografiada con mucho mejor calidad por Hugo Gribman.
