Dos meses después de la construcción del nido en la isla del lago Regatas y de no poder observar actividad en el interior por su ubicación, fueron observados 4 pichones de aningas. El 25 de septiembre se llevó a cabo la cópula, teniendo en cuenta que la especie tiene 1 mes de gestación, los pichones deben tener un mes y una semana de vida.
