48 Horas Birding Challenge RECS Verano 2015

48 Horas Birding Challenge RECS Verano 2015

We invite all observers and photographers to participate in the challenge of 48 Horas Birding Challenge RECS Verano 2015, weekend birding in the Costanera Sur Ecological Reserve, Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The competition is individual and are encouraged to share with groups of friends.

The categories are:
  • Most observed species
  • Most species documented
  • Best pictures
The competition is organized by Birding Challenge, EcoRegistros, Proyecto Freebirds and ASIO (Visión Natural), as local organizers involved J. Simón Tagtachian (COA RECS) and Cora Rimoldi (www.reservacostanera.com.ar) and we have the backing of the RECS authorities.

The support platform competition is EcoRegistros, where it provides: online registration, publication records, rankings of users for the categories Observed and Documented, check the material published by users and presentation of final results. It is only necessary that each participant publish records of bird species observed and / or photographed.

The event is free.

Schedules Costanera Sur Ecological Reserve on those dates are between 8:00 and 19:00 pm (summer time), and each participant is responsible for fulfilling the Reserve rules.

Special mentions

Least Grebe (Tachybaptus dominicus)

Eduardo Carreyra (photograph)

The record was not submitted on time for the publication of records of the event, so that the species is not on the lists of species or personal list of the author. However the organizers wish to give a special mention to the record. The author identified the specimen after subsequent records of Pablo Fernandez and company.
