Los padres de los pichones emitían llamados de alarma ante la presencia del observador mientras se fotografiaba el nido. Fue luego de la puesta de sol, con muy poca luz. Estaban en un monte nativo con ñandubay (Prosopis affinis), espinillo negro (Vachellia astringens) y aromito (Vachellia caven).
