Synonyms: Rallus leucopyrrhus, Laterallus leucopyrrhus.


Description: Brownish back, reddish head and sides of the neck, brown wings, and blackish tail. White underparts with flanks and undertail barred blackish. Greenish bill and red iris.

Sexual Dimorphism: Nonexistent.

Geographic Distribution: In Argentina, found in the provinces of Buenos Aires, Entre Ríos, Santa Fe, and Corrientes.

Habitat: Reeds.
