Description: Small, with a large head and beak, long vibrissae, and muted colors. Head and back are brown, with darker wings and tail. Ventral and spectacles are cinnamon. Hooked beak tip.Subspecies: Nonnula rubecula rubecula (Spix, 1824).Geographic Distribution within Argentina: Misiones.Habitat: Forests and capueras.Behavior: Passive, easily overlooked. When active, it performs fluttering movements reminiscent of mosquitoes.Breeding: Nests in cavities where it lays white eggs.Author of this description: Jorge La Grotteria
