This record is not considered at the species level and is used for the records traditionally assigned to Hermeuptychia hermes since it is currently considered that it does not fly in Argentina. It was confused with Hermes Gisela (Hermeuptychia gisella) and Hermes Isabela (Hermeuptychia isabella), which are very similar species and almost indistinguishable by photo or in the field. Additionally, they are sympatric from the central region of the provinces of Córdoba, Santa Fe, and Entre Ríos towards the north of Argentina.
