Description: One of the most striking members of the Turdus family. Black head, reddish periocular area, orange beak and legs. Olive back, wings, and tail. Strong yellow ventral side spotted with black.
Geographic Distribution within Argentina: Jujuy, Salta, and Tucumán.
Habitat: Yungas.
Behavior: Very fast, curious, and secretive. At times, it resembles Formicariidae, darting quickly along the ground or flying through dense vegetation. Difficult to spot, with detection of its voice being easier.
Feeding: Feeds on worms, larvae, and caterpillars, mostly found on the ground.
