Esta especie en el extremo Este del lago Nahuel Huapi es otro registro inusual, posiblemente debido a la sequía que experimenta la Estepa Patagónica. Se trata de una familia, madre, padre y patito, que ese día encontró refugio en esa bahía tranquila, pero que normalmente presenta fuerte oleaje.
