General Information

Costa Rica is located in the Central American region, bordering Nicaragua to the north and Panama to the southeast, while the Pacific Ocean lies to the west and the Caribbean Sea to the east. The country´s geography is very varied, with a mountain range that crosses the center of the country and descends towards the Pacific and Caribbean coasts. This diversity of environments and landscapes creates a mosaic of ecosystems that are home to a wide range of climatic and relief conditions. The vegetation is lush in many areas, especially in the tropical forests and savanna zones, where biodiversity is particularly high. The climate varies from humid tropical on the coasts to a cooler and more temperate climate in the mountains, allowing for a wide range of outdoor experiences.
