Su área de distribución en Argentina es amplia, abarca las provincias de Chaco, Formosa, Misiones Corrientes, Santa Fe, Entre Ríos y Buenos Aires.
Relevada en la notable obra de Arturo Burkart (Flora Ilustrada de Entre Ríos - 1969), aquí en Parque Unzué, unas de las estaciones de muestreo, esta Asteraceae sólo se ha mantenido en aquellos sectores en los que la naturaleza no ha sufrido alteraciones.
