Las larvas de esta hermosa especie se crían en Pouteria salicifolia o "mata ojo" (única planta huésped conocida en la provincia de Entre Ríos), árbol que forma parte de las selvas ribereñas o bosques en galería que se desenvuelven en las márgenes de ríos y arroyos.
