Hierbas perennes, robustas, de 40-120 cm de alto, caulescentes, erectas; tallos ramosos en la parte superior, laxamente lanosos, glanduloso-pubescentes, hojosos hasta la inflorescencia. Hojas inferiores dispuestas en roseta, oblanceoladas, de 15-25 × 4-7 cm, atenuadas en largo pecíolo en la base, obtusas o agudas en el ápice, profundamente pinnatisectas o pinnatilobadas, segmento terminal ovado, crenado-dentado, 5-7 pares de segmentos
