Parece mentira lo abundante que se ha vuelto, hace sólo un par de años era muy escaso, y sólo 5 años atrás no había por acá salvo por algún avistaje esporádico en áreas rurales. Hoy podría decirse que compite con el carancho en cuanto ser la segunda especie rapaz más frecuente en la ciudad.
