Determinado con Schnack (1976) Los Belostomatidae de la República Argentina. Uña más larga que tarsos, dos bandas oscuras en abdomen, bandas negras en patas más otros caracteres. Atraído por las luces artificiales, sobrevivió en el plástico con agua durante dos días, se fue en la tercer noche justo antes de la tormenta. La roca fue puesta para que tenga sostén ya que gastaba energía nadando en círculos.
