Este gaviotín fue observado por los miembros del grupo "Pajarólogos amigos" en Diciembre de 2010 en Tapera de López, durante la bajamar. Se encontraba junto con gaviotines de otras especies. Se consultó en Aves Argentinas y se concluyó que era el Gaviotín chico boreal. En esta foto se dejan dos gaviotines fuera de foco para poder comparar el tamaño.
