Se suelen ver en esta laguna en un grupo no mayor a 10 ejemplares, que muchas veces la gente por su color, dicen que lindo los flamencos, lo cierto es que cuando baja el nivel de determinados sectores, y tienen el alimento más al alcance de su pico, como en la foto, se la pasan comiendo, entre otras cosas, krill.
