Visit to Ingeniero Maschwitz Natural Reserve
In this tour, we explored the Ingeniero Maschwitz Natural Reserve, located in the northeast of Buenos Aires province, Argentina. This protected area, situated between the city of Maschwitz and the Panamericana highway, preserves sections of the Arroyo Escobar and the Pampean grasslands, offering a mix of floodable areas, an artificial lagoon, riparian forests, and trails through diverse natural environments.
During this field trip we showcased:
• Access to the reserve and main entrance
• Different trails
• Visit to Arroyo Escobar, a tributary of Arroyo Correntino
• Environments traversed: riparian forests, Pampean grasslands, and small lagoons
A recommended destination for those seeking field experiences in northeastern Buenos Aires, exploring wetlands, grasslands, and riparian forests in a protected area easily accessible from the city.
