The Taurus Mountains stretch along the southern coast, while the Caucasus Mountains are located in the northeast. The Thrace region in Europe is more flat and fertile, with rivers and lakes that provide aquatic habitats.

Once inside the country, there is a network of highways and motorways that facilitate transportation, as well as trains and buses that connect major cities. To reach more remote areas, it is possible to rent cars or hire local taxi or guide services.

The best time to visit Turkey depends on the region and climate. The Mediterranean coast has a Mediterranean climate, with hot and dry summers, and mild and humid winters. The Black Sea region is more humid and cool, with rainfall throughout the year. The central Anatolian plateau is more arid and cold in winter, with hot summers. It is essential to research and plan ahead to avoid the rainy or extreme heat seasons.

In terms of infrastructure and services, Turkey offers a wide range of options for visitors, from hotels and guesthouses to restaurants and shops. In more remote areas, it is possible to find accommodation and food in villages and towns, although it is essential to be respectful of local culture and customs.
