Luxembourg is a country located in the northwest of Europe, surrounded by Belgium to the west and north, Germany to the east, and France to the south. Its territory extends over an area of approximately 2,586 square kilometers, with a varied geography that includes valleys, hills, and plateaus. The most mountainous region of the country is the Éislek, located in the north, where the hills of the Ardennes are found, which are part of the Ardennes mountain range. In the south, the country opens up to the Moselle valley, which marks the border with Germany. The capital of the country, also called Luxembourg, is located in the south, at the confluence of the Alzette and Pétrusse rivers.
The transportation network in Luxembourg is very developed, with a series of highways and roads that connect the country to its neighbors. Highway A1 connects the capital to the city of Trier, in Germany, while A3 connects it to the city of Metz, in France. The country also has an efficient rail system, with trains that connect the capital to cities like Brussels, in Belgium, and Paris, in France. Luxembourg Airport, located about 6 kilometers east of the capital, offers flights to destinations throughout Europe.
