Synonyms: Leptorhynchus guttatus.
Description: Lead-colored head and back, with a whitish throat and the rest of the ventral side turning cinnamon. Brown wings. Back dotted with white and ventral side dotted with dark brown, becoming barred brown towards the subcaudal. White-tipped tail feathers, with the rest of the tail feathers dotted with cinnamon in a very picturesque design. Dark upper mandible and lighter lower mandible. The female is more cinnamon-colored.Geographic Distribution within Argentina: Misiones and northeast of Corrientes.Habitat: Dense tacuaral in forests.Behavior: Very secretive, with a strong voice that can be heard from afar.Feeding: Arthropods and invertebrates.Author of this description: Jorge La Grotteria
